Tokyo pianist Masako Ohta, who works in both compositional and improvisation fields and here perform inside and out of the piano, met mutli-instrumentalist Udo Schindler, here on clarinets and alto horn, as part of the art exhibition by Philp Fischer Ulrich: "monitorobjekte" at Salon fur Klang+Kunst, in Krailling/Munich, Germany in 2019.

SALON fur Klang + Kunst multi-reedist Udo Schindler met Japanese pianist Masako Ohta at Mohrvilla, Munchen/Freimann, Germany in 2017 to record this extended live improvisation, bringing Schindler's free jazz and non-idiomatic styles together with Ohta's contemporary classical background, in an intently educated and fascinating merging of styles and approaches.

A series of duo recordings between saxophonist, clarinetist and cornet player Udo Schindler and pianists, all recorded at Schindler's Salon for Sound and Art at Krailing, Germany between 2013 and 2016, with Claudia Ulla Binder, Masako Ohta, Elisabeth Harnik, Katharnia Weber, and Lisa Ullen; song titles taken from SONDAGEN (Soundings) in memory of poet Thomas Kling.
